THE DREAM KITCHEN…

Is one where I have spent a lot of time with the customer discussing their likes and wishes for the new kitchen. I ask about what they don’t like in the current kitchen, but I also ask what they do like. So we don’t eliminate the nice things and improve the bad things. In visiting the space I discuss options that I see. Customers have thoughts of both good and bad. Most of the time I am suggesting things that they either didn’t see or thought were too expensive. My goal is to give as many ideas as possible. I know they all won’t be in the final plan, but I let the customer pick and choose which ideas appeal to them and their dream! This way it is a custom plan fitted to their wishes and not just a cookie cutter plan that I come up with. Once we’ve visited the space, I do a selection session in the showroom to pick cabinet brands, door styles, woods and colors. We select aspects like countertop material, tile, under cabinet lighting, backsplashes and bar stools. Then I start the drawing process. This can take time to create the perfect plan. I also do pricing with a separate proposal for material and labor. Then we have a sit down session when I show the customer the perspectives ( just like being in the kitchen). We go over the proposals line by line, adjusting any options. We review all the selections we made and adjust if necessary. We may even do a redraw to tweak the plan. Then we order materials and schedule the job. We make it easy for people to realize their dream.
